LOL, but seriously, that’s what it feels like trying to promote a book after its release. If that’s not bad enough how about trying to promote two books with similar subjects while one is a YA fiction and the other is an Adult non-fiction. Yeah, it makes my head hurt. (Just between us, I’m pretty much terrified that I’m going to get these two books mixed up and accidently claim that my fiction is the non fiction. If I do, please know I’ve never spent time in a mental institution for believing in ghosts. Although some may think I should have.) J
One might ask, “How did you find yourself needing to promote two books at once?”
Well… it’s a long story, but after trying and trying and trying to get my books published, I found a wonderful home with Spencer Hill Press for Angelina’s Secret and then just a few short months later I found an equally wonderful home with Llewellyn Publications for On Haunted Ground.
With the release dates set only three months apart, I took a deep breath and said, “I can do this.” And then--life reared its ugly little head. I tried to smash it with a hammer, but in the end, it got me.
By the grace of God, I was able to meet my publishing deadlines, but when it came to promoting Angelina’s Secret, family issues swooped in and took me far, far away from where I needed to be.
But, my post today is all about me saying I’m back in the saddle and am once again ready to do this thing. You may have noticed my nifty little button on the sidebar announcing my upcoming blog tour for On Haunted Ground, hopefully *crosses fingers and toes* there’s also one in the works for Angelina’s Secret. The details will be announced as soon as I get them and I hope all of you will follow me around on these tours (too bad these aren’t done in person and at really cool places.) Regardless, I want to thank you for your continued support and I Promise to get back to telling ghost stories soon. If you simply can’t wait, you can always read about some of my experiences here Haunting Wednesday *coughs* I know, more shameless promotions—speaking of, have you checked out the purchase my books tab?
You can do it!!!
